I will use this page to provide you with information regarding my knowledge, skills,
and background, so you can decide for yourself if I am the REALTOR® for you. Many of
you may not realize there is a difference between a REALTOR® and a Real Estate Agent
or Broker. As a REALTOR®, I am bound by the National Association's strict Code of Ethics.
My name is James Wells, I'm 35 years old, have been happily married for 14 years
with one child (a teenage boy). I recieved a Bachelors Degree from Purdue in Communications
after 4 years of study, with minors in Psychology and Business Managment.
Directly after college, I spent ten years managing a financial institution where I started gaining the basis of my Real Estate background. I was responsible for a 12 million dollar operation that loaned and collected money. I processed and underwrote mortage loans, reviewed appriasals, and attended sheriff sales/bankruptcy court on behalf of a Fortune 500 company. While employed there, I attended Real Estate classes at night and obtained my Indiana Real Estate License.
Shortly thereafter, I began selling Real Estate full time.
I joined a Real Estate firm which was liquidating millions of dollars of property for
a Bankruptcy Trustee (a local builder had filed bankruptcy). During my time there
I went back to Real Estate school and obtained my Real Estate Brokers License. Since then,
I have worked in various positions within the Real Estate Industry such as:
- Real Estate Broker Associate with various Real Estate Agencies
- Sales and Marketing for a National Production Home Builder.
- Relocation and REO Agent
- Liason for Comcast Cable to New Home Builders within Indiana
I have extensive knowledge of the mortgage process, foreclosure, new home construction, Real Estate negotiations, Marketing, Indiana Real Estate Law, and human psychology. I have recieved hours of training, awards, certifications, and more during my time as a REALTOR® and Real Estate licensee. But what is really important to me is that you recieve honest, professional, and expert advice as one of my clients.
